Tooth Extraction
Dental Extraction – Tooth Removal
In some situations, a tooth unfortunately has to be extracted. Then it is good to know that we offer painless treatment and perfect replacements with an aesthetically pleasing appearance. A very common reason involves a tooth that is too badly damaged, from trauma or decay, to be repaired. Other reasons include a crowded mouth.

When a tooth cannot be repaired
A tooth extraction is quite often an option when your tooth can no longer be repaired, or if, for aesthetic reasons, you do not want to keep it. Typically this is also commonly associated when having dental pain.
Although we can replace missing teeth with artificial varieties that have an aesthetically pleasing appearance, we will usually always recommend that you preserve the natural teeth for as long as is practically possible.
Do you need to remove wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth can be pulled if they cause discomfort, problems, or grow crooked. Wisdom teeth are often superfluous and there is no practical need for them where they are located at the back of the mouth.
Wisdom teeth are more difficult to clean than other teeth in your mouth and are therefore more prone to cavities or inflammation.
If you have problems with a wisdom tooth, we recommend you make an appointment so that one of our caring dentists at Heathmont Family Dentistry can look after you.
